The Sagamihara Industrial Promotion Foundation was established in August 1992, and became a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation in April 2012.
In order to promote industries in Sagamihara-city, it aims to contribute to the promotion of economic development in the area by undertaking projects for stabilizing and developing management, ensuring and cultivating industrial human resources, and promoting internationalization and informatization.

To achieve the goal described above, the Sagamihara Industrial Promotion Foundation works primarily on the following projects:
（1）Stabilization and development of management of small and medium-sized enterprises
（2）Ensuring and cultivating industrial human resources
（3）Promotion of internationalization, as well as gathering and providing information
（4）Support for startup businesses and business incubations
（5）Development of the local economy
